Rene Limacher

Rene is a Co-founder of Genioo and is responsible for delivering our unique Genioo experience to clients in the US, as well as overall US operations. He works closely with our Client Service and Business Development leads to serve existing clients and expand our client base in the Americas.

Rene has more than 25 years of experience in management consulting with a strong focus on strategy, operational improvements and change management in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical devices industries. 

Rene is passionate about people development and capability building, whether it’s helping to grow and develop Genioo’s full-time staff, qualifying and collaborating with our independent professionals, or working closely with client teams and helping develop capabilities that allow them to drive critical initiatives to success.  

Previous experience

Since 2006, Rene’s focus has been in serving pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies. He supports programs and projects across all key functions, often with a focus on transformation, change and capability-building. 

Prior to co-founding Genioo in 2012, Rene was a Partner at a-connect and held operational leadership roles at two technology companies. He started his career post-MBA at McKinsey & Company, where he worked for five years in the US and Switzerland.

 Rene is originally from Switzerland, but he has lived in the US for more than twenty years. He currently lives in the Boston area.  

Education

Rene holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. 

Languages: Native German, fluent in English and proficient in French 

Interests

In his spare time, Rene likes to travel across the world and enjoy the best of Switzerland and the US. He is passionate about sustainability, both in his personal life and in business. He loves to read and take his dogs to the beach.
